amazing looking acan
what lights are you running them under ?

Im running my acans under a Kessil A350w and a current marine LED fixture. The current is there for suppliment and to run a sunrise sunset sequence. The acans Love it! putting on new heads like crazy!

I had my acans under T5's only and they were beautifully puffed up and red and white. I switched over to LED's and they look like someone let the air out of them and were flat and orange, and not a pretty orange. I added a T5 fixture, a cheap one and the acans puffed right up again to their beautiful red and white color and are once again gorgeous. If I had to do over again I never would have gotten the LED's, knowing what I know now.

I've got the kessil A360WEs on my tanks. I've been collecing a lot more acans and last week changed the color to 40% for a bluer look and the colors started showing up better but was wondering if supplementing with T5's would be worth it.

I think it is, the T5's seem to offer a different spectrum that they like. I got a T5 fixture from PetMountain.com and it has made a world of difference. They aren't the high ouput ones they are just a basic T5. With the discount they were offering, I got it for $44.00, included the lights. You might want to check it out. By the way, I have a custom made tank, 48"Wx26"Dx22"H, about 120 gallons.

Anyone besides me use 250 watt 20k halide and reef bright stripes I have very good results and grot he color has never changed

I have radion g2 on a 40b and just picked up a 8x39 dimmable ati for our 120. Going to cut some acans later today to have a frag under each light and see side by side difference. Will try and remember to post pics.

Have mine under LEDs and have had no loss of color and they are putting out new heads like crazy!

We need a led t5 poll. A current one. I run 2 t5ho fixtures. Been pushin toward leds. Is this a mistake. Or should I keep one t5 and suppliment?

What color and brightness intensity percentages do you guys run your kessils

What is there to supplement? Kessil has the intensity, and it has the spectrum. Most especially since you use the 360. So what would be the point in supplementation?

I over-lit my acans and although they continue to grow, they have turned brownish orange. Anyone know if they would return to original colors under the proper lighting? And if so, how long would it take. Thanks
