Hey, so I just got this acan colony yesterday. Acclimated but no dipping. Yesterday I spot fed reef roids right before lights out little even though feeders weren’t out, it looked like it still took in some food though. Today it’s mouths look like this...is this normal? I know it’s only been a day but just curious why they look like this? Here are my water params:

Nitrite 0
Ammonia 0
Nitrate 20
PH 7.8
Alkalinity 9.1 dKH
Magnesium 1800
Calcium 500
Salinity 1.026

I know my PH is a little low and magnesium and calcium are pretty high, I pretty much always get a high magnesium reading tho..I use Red Sea test kit..maybe it just runs high?

my candy cane does that occasionally, I am pretty sure it's normal, they are probably just "airing out" allowing the water in their mouths to exchange
