Got this one at the store today and they sold to me as acan. I brought it home and put in tank and then i realize there something not right about this acan. It got one large polyp with a shape like a Trachy squeeze in between the acan polyps. This large polyp got 2 mouth on 2 side but no skeleton border in between and as i know acan do not split like this, they grow a new smaller head at the side of existing polyps like blastos. So is this some other species of coral or its an acan being weird?

Micromussa occasionally have intracalicular budding like this, nothing to worry about

It’s not an Acan. It’s a lobophyllia. The technical name is Acan Pachesepta. Acans are now classified as Micromussa Lords. They don’t get along. Hope this helps.
not a pachysepta, pachyseptas are phaceloid
