Looking for some advise. I had an Acan that nearly perished for a number of reasons. It was down to the skeletal structure but I kept it to try and save. It’s doing much better and coming back however there is a lot of skeleton now and I wonder if this maybe impeding it’s recovery? Should I try and cut off the excess Skelton or just leave it?

The skeleton is not impeding its recovery, just leave it. If the water conditions are good, then it will eventually recover and more polyps will grow over the skeleton part, eventually covering any exposed rock/skeleton. (if you cut off the skeleton, it has no where to spread to)
