Got a few acans, it seems they pick and choose when they want to look all puffy and happy. I have been dealing with a phosphate issue but I think I got it under control now. I am at 0.1 ppm down from 1.0 about 1 week or 2 ago. I have also increased my pH with a c02 scrubber (night and day different in element uptake!).nitrates are at 5. I did find my temp probe on my apex is a bit off. My floating mechanical temp was reading at 74 instead of 77-78. I have since adjusted the temp. Any thoughts, do I just need to give it time? Thanks

What light and flow are they under? Mine love to be fed. Are they extending tentacles out at night?

I do not see much tentacle extension at night. I think it is around med-low I do see some movement of the coral when it is puffy but it is not being blown around. I think one of the acans may have med high flow but I don't see it move much when it is puffy. I am not a good judge of trying to determine flow. sorry. I feed them a lot but the last few times the polyps don't grab onto the food well. Even when I put polyplabs polypbooster. It seems to have a hard time taking in food even thought it does eat it.

If your tank temp has been at 74 deg it may just be mad because of that.. they should have full tentacle extension at night and if they are really happy they will typically have their tentacles extended during the day also.. I feed mine a couple times a week.
