Access Hatch for Mesh Lids

Hello everyone I hope all is well. I noticed that there was a feeding hatch for mesh covered aquariums, but I was wondering if anyone had seen an access hatch?

I have an Ocean Revive with the tank mounts and it sits down on top of the lid. It's a real pain having to take the lights off just to get into the tank.

Was wondering if anyone had a solution. ?

I’ve seen some 3d printed ones that just drop into the mesh.. typically we build them into the poly from the start. I’d say the 3d printed one is your best option at the moment.

Without it being built in, I think you are going to have a hard time with the weight of the hatch and that mesh being able to hold it. Even the feeding portal ones I added within a few months started to sag the mesh pretty severely

Make one with mesh you can buy on Amazon , and Velcro if you want or any border at all . You can get Velcro at fabric stores male ? female sets

Yes I was wanting something like this, but a bit bigger in case I need to stick a hand in there and flip a snail or in this case put a frag back that was bulldozed over

Have you noticed the weight of this starting to sag the mesh?

No, not at all, it is quite light. (I am using it on the Innovative Marine screened top. on the 20 gallon tank, for reference.) PS: I have it positioned near the framing, where the screen has tight support.

Is your lid teh kind made out of "door screen" rails?
It would cut down on light but if you buy like those... cut in angles and make a smaller screen inside? Does that make sense?

Yes I think I follow what you're saying. I have 2 tanks, my 180 I was planning on doing the door screen tops... But this one is for a smaller 32 gallon that has a mesh lid similiar to this picture.
