tank volume 80 gallon, usually dose a total of 140mL daily in 5 increments with doser. I made changes to the doser last night and instead of 30mL, I inputted 300mL. Luckily only this 1 event, woke up this morning to a cloudy tank. The dose was at 4am Pacific time, saw it at 6am.
The pH is only 8.3 which is about the normal range of my tank. The Alk is only 7.6, I thought would be 11 or 12.

Any suggestions whether I need to do anything like water change?
I will turn off my dosing for several days, and will use RO only instead of limewater for the ATO

Thanks

Thanks Randy, just curious, why my Alk level did not sky rocket to 11 or 12 but stayed around 7.6. Is it because of precipitations?
Will the cloudy water eventually cleared up by itself?
Should I clean my pumps to avoid seizing?

Thanks much for your help, I am kicking myself of this dummy mistake.....

Could be precipitation. Do you see any cloudiness? Could be you didn't dose as much as you thought?

I see cloudiness, but after 3 hrs, it clears now. I saw some white precipitation on my mp40, and light white film on my glass.
From my alk container, seems The doser did pump 300mL

I have high Ca level to begin with, about 470. After this overdose of soda ash solution, I have not checked my Ca level, maybe precipitate with the soda ash solution that’s why the alk level didn’t sky rocketed?

Thanks Randy,
I assume at this stage, I cannot do anything with the precipitates, which I don’t know where in the tank they accumulated, maybe in the impellers and heater due to the heat?
