Acclimation box info needed

I have a flame angel currently in an acclimation box in my display tank that just came out of quarantine. It’s been in the box for approximately 12 hours and I don’t see any signs of aggression from any of the other fish. It’s a small tank with only small fish (clowns, gobies, pajama cardinal).

When would it be ok to release? Thank you

Before you release him, I would observe your Tank from another Room or as far away as possible. Fish often behave differently when the Aquarist is in the room.

I always release new fish very late usually around 2 or 2 in the morning. When everyone is in their hiding places. I've found this to work well. They are usually up and swimming with the herd in the morning.

I do not spend a lot of time with the fish in the box, I find it to be stressful on the animal.

In the box around 6 or 7 pm in to general population around 3 am.

I've been doing this years nearly 100% success. My situation may differ from many others as I have a very large display.
