Very interesting and i wasn't disputing your claim just asking how the process occurred.

So every reefer here has a tank that slowly constantly increases salinity over time if they have coral and dose for it.

Really curious if Randy has studied and concluded this also. Thanks for sharing. I was wondering why my salinity was slowly increasing and you may have unraveled the mystery for me. I skim very dry to so don't remove much each week.
Here's a chemistry video I found that shows very well the process/reaction

I should add that at the time of asking this question I was not dosing for ALK/Calcium.
So I was not replacing salt at all with just RODI top off.

I have since installed an ATO and a Kamoer X5s doser and dosing Randy's Recipe 1 with Reef Anabolics (Aussie brand trace kit) The Reef Anabolics is mixed with Randys Alk/Calc and dosed

I have already noticed my salinity is now far more stable.
Still adjusting Alk/Calc to maintain 420ppm/8.5dKH

I dose 400 ml of saltwater a day to make up for the salt I lose from filter socks, testing, skimming, salt creep, etc.
