Hi,

I bought some frags online and they arrived this morning (next day delivery). As soon as they arrived I started acclimating them, after an hour or 2 I placed them in my tank on a frag rack, they looked fine up until this point.

I've come back home from work and both Acro frags I purchased are now releasing some sort of stringy mucus, any ideas why?

Looks like a feeding response. mesenterial filament's.

Or if it's just coming off into the water collum, it could be "slimming". A sign of irritation.

Right ok thank you, is there anything I can do if it is irritated or best to just leave it and see if it bounces back?

If it's "slimming" and your water pramameters are on point, it will adjust and settle down in a day. Should be fine.

I do t think it’s mesentarial filaments, so it’s either slime from stress or expellling zooxanthellae. Hopefully not the latter, but if it is you’ll know tomorrow.
