Need some advice about an acro frag.

This frag is a SBB Jakarta Joy that I purchased awhile back that was delayed 2 days shipping and thus developed tissue necrosis the day after it was acclimated. I have been trying to save it and the STN seems to have stopped somewhere in the middle. I still have some color in the top and it's getting better by the day.

Should I cut the bottom portion off and reglue or just let the top grow and do it's thing? You can clearly see in the picture that there is coraline starting on the dead portion. I don't see any PE in the picture, but the flesh looks like it might be OK.

Is there any guarantee on the purchase? I’d talk to the vendor first before cutting it.

It's already been refunded. Just trying to save it if I can.
Ok. For me it’s usually a 50/50 shot. If it’s a small frag, I cut it just above the dead part and remount it. If it’s a larger frag, I’ll leave it be if it seems to not get worse (I’ll take a picture and compare). Then cut it if it does.
