Recently picked up a small colony of this sps from a fellow reefer.

They got it awhile ago and grew it from a frag but don’t remember if it had a name.

I’m curious if this is a wild type or if there is actually a name for this coral. I want to document the growth of this in my tank and would love to know if it had a name :)

Not sure what it is it’s a tad blurry to see the coralites. It looks like it has bubbly tissue like it has hyperplasia.

I'll take some better pics when I get a chance. It kinda does look like hyperplasia. Out of all the corals in their tank, only this one had it. Was kinda odd but I picked it up anyways because it was soooo fuzzy lol. The polyps were super extended like a milli.

I'll try and frag a piece to take a better photo of the coralites.

^^+1

That definitely has somd growth anomalies to it.

Id compare it with kimbeensis or a thinner branched papillare
