Acropora bugs and mandarins?

Has anyone tried putting a mandarin in a small tank with acropora that are infected with acropora bugs to see if they will eat them?
I'm referring to the tegastes acroporanus type bugs.
Red,White, black, etc...

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
