Acropora encrusting, but no polyp extension

an Angel nipping isnt the end of the world. In some cases they could stimulate growth snacking on a tip here or there. more light for the base! snails and blue leg hermits crawling all over the tank could hurt your PE too. i wouldnt worry about it especially if you are seeing growth
Yeah, but with a 4 month old tank and just frags, most SPS won't do well with an angel present, IMO. A year from now when he has colonies he could add the angel back and would likely be fine.

George, I guess you'll just need to setup an angel tank for now. ;)

I had a potters in ym mixed reef with tons of sps and my polyp extension was great both day and night. all angels can be different but if its not nipping then he should have pe. I would expect it is nipping at some point. my sps also start going down hill when my nitrates are to low
I took around a 6hr video of the tank to see if the angel was nipping the sps, no nipping at all in the video, but one night I decided to watch the tank for a few minutes and this cheeky potter decided to nip the acros in front of me. At that point he was moved to the sump for now.
