Are you releasing any article or more information about this project? We've been following Jamie Craggs work here in Europe and it's amazing to see what can be done. I hope we will try some similar project in the future(I work at a small public aquaria in Sweden).
So far I've only observed eggs in a branch of Acropora staghorn in one of our tanks. It probably spawned when we weren't here.

well why don't corals in our tanks sporn then

They do sometimes. Mostly they don't self fertilize so unless you have different genotypes of the same coral, the spawning doesn't accomplish much.
The trick is to have multiple genotypes and the real trick is to get them to spawn synchronously. If they don't go at the same time, there isn't time to mix the gametes. The project as been a fairly massive effort.

Autodesk is a donor helping specifically with the design of settling substrates for reef rehabilitation.
