How could I have good polyp extension in Acroporas? It turns out that I have a 1 and a half year old tank, what happens is that I already have several colonies of around 1 year old with good growth and placement for the most part, I have low nutrients, that is, it is a ULNS tank, I do not usually feed the corals, I add nitrates because the tank is ULNS, I have Orphek lamps for barely 6 months with them at an intensity of 80% and par around 200-400 depending on the area, 3 wavemakers, a gyre 350, a 330 and an mp40, a calcium reactor I have only wanted for 5 months and parameters: calcium 440, nitrates 1-0.5, phosphates 0.02, magnesium 1400, ph 7.8-8 by the calcium reactor and alkalinity at 7.8-8. 211 gallons.
 
in my limited SPS experience, I've found the below to yield decent polyp extension:

PH8.2
Alk ~9
phos .06
N ~10
~300 PAR lighting intensity

I think if lighting is too powerful, or if alk, N or P are too low, polyp extension may suffer. Just my practical experience.
