I have a 75 gallon and and 30 gallon plumbed into it and I’ve always suffered from low nutrients no matter how many fish I put in there. My question is if I feed acropower everyday let’s say a capful 5ml with this be good? No4 2.0 and po4 .02

+1 on turning skimmer off via timer or controller for a few hours each day, i have mine off in the evening that way the fish eat and poop while it's off and it stays in the water column a little longer.

I believe that aminos are just dirtier nitrates. So, nitrates with carbon. Dosing them only gave me slime algae. Dose nitrates if they are too low and feed frozen food.

0 phosphate will definitely upset your corals. Also, if you dose nitrates, it’ll drive down your phosphate, so keep an eye on phosphate. You can dose phosphate too if it gets hard to keep them up.

My system run low on nutrients. I started dosing 3ml twice a day two weeks ago. My socks have seams to clog quicker and my phosphates have climbed. I just cut the dose back to 3 ml a day and will see if they come back down.

System is around 180 gallons. Phosphorus was 10 now 85.

I’ve been feeding lightly these last couple of weeks which I believe causes this. I will feed heavy and see where it brings me.

If your looking to feed coral and increase phosphates use reef roids.

Never heard of amino acids causing phosphates. I would think it’s probably something else going on. Aminos (acropower is a basic, but good amino mix I believe) should only be processed into nitrate as the end result from what I understand. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
