Acros and Clams

Can acros sting or irritate a clams mantle? My ora frogskin decided to grow sideways and has been hitting my clams mantle. The clam looks like the picture below. The mantle is slightly pinched on the left side by the exhalant siphon.

The underside of the mantle can actually dissolve rock. What I would be concerned about is the acro growing and keeping the clam from opening its valve.
 
I think I am going to move it. Seemed like a good spot but these dang acros are growing so fast it's crazy. The entire left side of the clam doesnt extend anywhere near the right side and now the center left section has a weird pinch to it got me a bit nervous. It was directly over where the frogskin was touching it.
