How do zoas get along with acros, can they grow next do or up against one another?

I have zoas and acros. My acros are high up and zoas low. Wouldn't expect them to every be placed side-by-side. Good acro parameters tend to be counter productive to zoas. My zoas melt and grow back frequently due to low nutrients.

My zoas grow just fine in my tank that has undetectable levels of nitrate and phosphate.

My zoas do great in my sps grow out system. Only issue I encountered is too much flow for some of them. Bottom of the tank tends to be a good solution for zoas in a mixed reef

They have always been fine for me. One thing that happens is the spas can shade where the acro encrusts and it dies back and the zoas slowly advance that way but it’s not too bad.
