So i have a question. I have a favorite LFS that has some great coral for a great price. The problem i have is my parameters don't match theirs and it's hit or miss with frags surviving from them. Some make it great while others die within a week.

What do you guys/gals do if your LFS has different parameters and even lights?

Acclimate well. If you pour contents into a bucket, add cup if tank water every 15 minutes
After 6th time, see how salinity compares. If close , add them to display
If not close, pour off some of the acclimation water and add 3-4 more cups and test again

I always float for temp .
switch to a bucket and drip until salinity , alk comes closer to my display .

if you LFS lets you in on their parameters and their stuff is doing great why don't you try to match their parameters? Ask them what their maintenance schedule is like and what they dose? I am sure they will be happy to tell you since its likely you will also buy those stuff from them. Win win situation.
