Acrylic Sanding & Buffing

Ok i Started at 800 made my way up to 3000 how much higher do I need to go before i can start the buffing on my acrylic tank?

Depends what kind of sandpaper you have, and what kind of polishing equipment you own. Micro Mesh should be in the game plan somewhere. 3M polishing compound has worked wonders for me, but I have all the good equipment. Any updates? J

If your using wet/sand I woulda stopped at 2000, and went to the Acrylic Polish Novus steps.

I use 3M buffing compound as well, much better the Novus compound for acrylic. I also use a 3M buffer and white foam pad.
