Acrylic Sump Crack Fixable or Not?

Wanted to see what people thought about this crack. Trying to decide if this is worth trying to fix or if the sump is just too far gone. Since its acrylic I figured their could be a chance. Since it's in the bottom corner, I know that area is under a lot of water stress. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

I would not trust that. Maybe with a lot of experience with acrylics you could shore it up and feel good about it, but that looks like a recipe for sadness.

How big is the sump? You could always get an acrylic block and glue it in the corner, covering the cracks and re-enforcing the corner of the sump

This. If you can tightly fit a block that surpasses the crack. It would cover and reinforce.

It's a Fiji-20 Advanced Reef Sump - 2nd Gen. I think there would be enough space for a block like you're saying. That's what I was thinking too. And I would also glue the cracks just to be safe. Honestly, a guy is selling it cheap and I was trying to decide whether or not to buy it and try to fix or not waste my time

I am not an expert in acrylic, but by my estimation it could be fixed/reinforced by welding new acrylic over the damaged areas.

EDIT: as far as if it is worth it, depends on how much they are asking, if you have extra acrylic and the supplies to fix, and what your time is worth to you. You can make very nice/functional sumps out of rimmed aquariums for dirt cheap. . . so monetarily I assume it is probably not worth it

The guy is asking $100 for it and it's $350 new. I just like the dimensions of it and it's hard to find a rimmed aquarium that is the dimensions that I'm wanting to fit everything in my sump nicely. It's never been used so other than that crack it's brand new

Ide buy a used one for the same price without the crack.

I would just WaterWeld it......its not under pressure so it should be good......
