actinics for 75 gallon

Still kicking this idea around, will actinics help with growth or are they just for looks? what do I need= 2-54w t5, 2=39w 36" or something else. and what bulbs will be best. I have 2= 150watt Iwasaki metal halides and it looks good I just want it to look its best and if it helps with growth that would be great. And also do I need moon lights because i'm not using any right now.

You could add some t5 or some blue leds. And depending on bulb or light choice get color and growth. Ari blue plus is a 12 k t5 or a KS Fiji purple. But some leds would give you a lot more color pop. Just do some looking threw member tank threads, they show all the different. Lighting and say what there using.

I am a firm believer in the actinic supplementation to give your tank a color pleasing to your eye. In addition, I ahve herard that corraline grows best under the actinics. I personally see this in my tank in that I do a disk/dawn with the actinics and my halides and my halides only run for 4 hours at a time with actinics in between. since I made this lighting switch, I have seen my coralline grow like wildfire.
