Find out why Joe on the Marine Depot tech team thinks AquaMaxx UltraMaxx AIO filter media is like "activated carbon on steroids" in this blog post.

An all in one media...carbon, ambiguous resin, and GFO...isn't this just a knock off of chemi-pure elite. IMO all in one medias are impractical considering that different medias have different capacities...for instance carbon exhausts fairly rapidly. Whereas GFO needs to be replaced according to your phosphate lvls. And these ionic/polymer based resins I've read dont even work well in saltwater bc the ionic balance is different than in freshwater. Either way if these resins claim to last 3-4 months while your other medias have exhausted seems a bit impractical...you might as well run them separately.
