Hey all!

so i've had my female occ clown for about a week now and she's been eating fine since day 3.

just yesterday, she suddenly stopped eating. her poop is kinda stringy but it's not long strands and it's sorta light brown with white here and there

she's very active and is currently hosting my sandbed :/ she loves to swim right jn front of my powerhead.

my guess is that she's full. i fed her lots in the days that she was eating and now her belly is quite large

any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks!!

It could be an intestinal blockage if she is overly bloated.
Any other changes in behavior?

I wouldn’t sweat it as long as she starts accepting food within the next few days. I’ve had clowns go longer than a week without food and they ended up fine.
:)

Picasso! My favorite clown. I have 2 Doni lineage that I feed 5x / day and they’ll sometimes refuse a meal. She looks fine based on what I can see in the picture.
Keep an eye out for any odd behavior (scratching, lethargy, head shaking, etc) and try offering some more food in the morning. Keep us updated!
Also, what are you feeding?

that's relieving lol. i'll def keep updating. i feed saki-hikari carnivore (that's what the lfs owner fed her) and sometimes she gets a bite from the homemade food i use to feed coral (actually for fish but she doesn't like it very much)

Try mixing some frozen food into the mix. I highly recommend LRS Nano Reef Frenzy.
I feed their broodstock formula and it keeps all my fish in spawning condition.

thats not bad at all. mine beg for food 24/7 and they will straight up look like a hippo. if its not acting funny. she may just be finding food source somewhere in the tank or just not hungry.
