I wonder if this is something @Dana Riddle would be willing to test for us. I have two 26's with t5's running the AB+ schedule and would like to know as well :)

I'd be willing to think the 26 would be pretty similar to the Prime as they are the same LED pucks. Obviously spread will be wider with the 26 but PAR numbers should be similar overall...

I thought the same, but noticed that the LEDs are not oriented the same, or at least according to the picture. I wonder if this would have any impact on par or not?

Am I willing to test - Does a fish drink water. LOL. It is a source of frustration for me to not be able to answer a question about a particular light source. But a reality check (looking at the check book) confirms I simply can't afford to purchase all luminaires on the market. Imagine if Randy was asked to test every calcium, magnesium, etc. supplement on the market!

If I had an extra one i'd donate it to you :) Someone out there has to have one they're not using for testing. Just need them to chime in ;)

I've done this before - if someone wants a particular light tested, ship it to me as a loaner. I can usually get tests done (depending upon complexity) in 2-3 weeks and then I pay for return shipping/insurance. No charge for testing.

Looking at the two each puck still has the same amount of LEDs with just one less white on the 26 pucks that looks like it's replaced with a UV diode. I still don't, atleast personally anyway, see the PAR output being much different.

Par can't be the same running 2 light pucks compaired to one in the prime. In the 26 they're right beside each other so the overlap from the point source should almost double the par.

I'll be following. Just purchased a 36" Aquatic Life DX18 which I will mount two Hydra 26s on.

Again, if you want to get me your tank dimensions and the number of lights, I can test tonight. I do not have T5's, but I can test 1 or 2 26's and let you know the results. Also need to know height above water for your lights.
Mines a standard 75 48x18x21

par26_1.jpg

I pulled this from the BRS website. Look for it on the White unit.
Only issue with this is this is with all leds at max. Were looking for par with a specific schedule, the ecolab AB+ schedule tailored to the 26s which if memory serves me correctly is
Uv-%118
Violet-%101
Royal Blue-%82
Blue-%65
Green-%6
Red-%5
Cool White-%19
