Hello everyone,

I have a 40g breeder lps tank and was curious if you think i could add another fish to it? I currently have a melanurus wrasse, 2 ocellaris clownfish, a purple dottyback, and a blue damsel. This was my first Saltwater tank and i realize now the way i have it stocked may not be ideal. filtration is HOB aquaclear 110 filter with chemipure elite and biomax rings and aquaready bullet 2 protein skimmer. Thanks in advance!

You have space for more fish, but good luck, I'll be surprised if your current fish accept any new fish. Hopefully you have a lot of rockwork.... But let us know, I'd love to know the outcome, good luck

just curouis, cause i dont wanna mislead him(yet i did...)
wouldnt the 3 damsels and dottyback make it agressive?
He has 1 damsel. And depending on species it’s probably not overly aggressive. His clowns aren’t aggressive. They aren’t maroon clowns. A dottyback is hit or miss. Usually pretty calm in my experience.

Not by standards of aggression. Subspecies sure. But a occellaris clown isn’t considered aggressive.
Temperament varies a lot with clownish. Some may be aggressive some may not be, that's why most call them semi-aggressive. I wouldn't say they aren't considered aggressive.

Lets pump the brakes a little bit. If we can't discuss nicely in a civil manor we'll have to lock this one up.
