This is a funny one. I was looking at my sump roller mat area (trigger systems platinum 39) and saw some whispy algae (clear) growing on the side. I was thinking to myself, why not put some snails in there, I was looking at what could get screwed up, but it’s pretty basic and can’t see any fowling unless he decides to enjoy the float switch too much, risk is low even if he does. Then I was thinking maybe some Shrimp in there. Now mind you this roller mat is literally catching all the food and has a very low turbulence. It’s in the dark, would I gain some life out of the rolls by adding a cleaner crew there (not to mention would be fun/funny).

the area is like 6”x14”x8” tall with water so the size of a nano/pico tank

I have some peppermints and a snail in my overflow box. It is a bit large. 4 ft long and 12" wide.
