I currently have a 55g FOWLR and had 2 clowns, lemon peel angel and a goby, would it be an issue to add a coral beauty? I’m really looking to get something that has some blue in it as that’s my sons favorite color. I would like a tang but get conflicting information, don’t plan on adding many other fish after this, maybe one or two smaller fish, any suggestions on what would be good to add after adding a coral beauty or tang would be appreciated.

don't think you can do either tbh the lemonpeel will harass the coral beauty to death

Coral beauty Vs. Lemonpeel will be a sure bet with lemon peel doing damage.
Blue:
Hepatus yellow belly which stay smaller, springieri damsel, blue chromis and neon blue goby

I keep a coral beauty in my 55, and she's very happy in there.

keeping a coral beauty in a 55 is not the problem the problem is keeping it with another dwarf angel in a 55 specially a lemonpeel angel i have 1 is more aggressive than my powder blue tang

Not to derail and if it is a PM is fine too

I've never heard this about the yellow bellys, is it likely a second species?

are there any threads, that you are aware of, that list out the common size achieved in aquaria for the more commonly available species?

thanks!

Most are estimates and some sites like live aquaria tend to list size in the wild versus aquarium.

Would it best to try and get a captive bread one or would it not matter?
Likely wont matter but captive bred less apt to disease

I figure about 60% of wild sizes is closer to realistic.
Very close. I have 25 tangs and im appalled at the typical sizes listed as most of mine are near half of those sizes and i only run large tanks

So does that make all tangs an option for a 55?
imo if you have a 4x2 tank you can have the tangs that stay under 10inch as @vetteguy53081 they don't really get that big in captivity maybe not achilles from what i read they die in anything but big tanks here's my 2 tangs in my 90 also the powder blue tang that i have die alot so i wouldn't try 1 of them either
