Hello all. I currently have a well established 210 gal mixed reef with all the bells and whistles. Numerous soft corals, a few sps,
inverts, etc. tank has been established over 20 yrs. i am looking to add a weird looking docile fish such as the longhorn boxfish or trunkfish. I realize they release toxins when they die. Has anyone ever added one to a reef with success. Any recommendations for a strange looking fish that would work in a large mixed reef.
some of my livestock :
adult emporer, adult desjardini ,adult purple tang, adult hippo tang, powder brown tang, 5 ocellaris clownfish, blue throat trigger, Pygmy angel, 4adult pajama cardinals, 2 fairy wrasse, bull it goby, watchman goby, pyramid butterfly, 2 scooter blennies, 2 bicolor blennies, adult snowflake eel, medium sized blue lobster, purple lobster, numerous shrimp, snails and small crabs. Any input or suggestions appreciated.

I'd advise against it honestly. Since I see them at LFS but never see them in established tanks and have had poor success with them long term myself I suspect they are missing something or don't acclimate well to mixed reefs.
