I have a biocube 29 that's been set up for about a year and I'd really like to put a small fu in there temporarily as my 40 breeder has completely crashed and I'm starting from scratch. The thing is I'm nervous about it trying to eat my Wyoming White and Bandtail Waspfish, who are both fish I love a lot. Does anyone have any input?

Lionfish can open their mouths really wide, almost like snakes. it would depend on the size of the lion and your clowns.

My clown is a fair size and I have heard that fu manchus have smaller mouths than other lions. I would try to get a smaller one and it wouldn't be in there permanently.

I've also seen people keep fus with clowns before and if anyone has had experience with that before I'd love to hear about it

They do since they are a "dwarf" species. that's why I said it also depends on the size of your clowns. still, it could be a risk. How much do you like those clowns? :)

I've owned several as well as other species. that's where my advise is coming from. I love lionfish.

I do like my clown a lot, but I'd honestly be more concerned about my waspfish. I know it's probably a no in general but I was just thinking if I could get an extra small one for a little while

I've been trying to get my 40 breeder going for about a year and I had finally finished cycling but my dad took out all the rocks to move the tank while I was gone and just left them put. It's all dead and smells disgusting now and I feel iffy about putting anything in at first even after I restart

Prolly what I'm gonna do. I want a yasha goby anyway and a fu would slurp that up like a noodle
