I've been battling this brown stuff in my tank for at least 3 years. My 40 breeder mixed reef tank has been running since 2019. However it never got out of control. The past two weeks it has taken over most of the tank and is really causing the corals to get upset. It goes away completely at night and comes back with a vengeance during the day. Below are two photos of the tank and a video from using a cheap microscope. Sorry about the video quality I had a really hard time getting my phone camera to capture through the microscope. I'm trying to figure out if this is diatoms, dinos, and if dinos, which type and how to treat it. I'm very worried about my corals and inverts which seem to not be happy. My anemones are usually full but as you can see in the pictures they are closed up. I really appreciate any help!

Too much movement of the microscope slide during the video. Get a chunk of gunk on the slide and then focus near the outer edge of that gunk for better pics with more dinos present for identification.
