So I'm thinking about adding SPS coral in the next couple months. so I'm considering adding another wavemaker or gyre for additional flow. I have a 95 gallon display with a 30 gallon sump, my tank is currently LPS dominant. It is 48" x 30" x 18". I current have 2 Nero 3, one on each side of the tank.

Should I look into adding a Gyre, or another wavemaker?

Thank you!

I have a gyre and an MP40 in my 6ft Waterbox 220.6 and I get plenty of flow. Definitely more than when I just had the 2 MP40s. I want to switch to 2 gyers but things seem pretty stable right now and I don't want to upset things.

I don't think there's anything wrong with adding an additional powerhead, especially since all the pumps you're using / considering using are controllable. You can turn them down if needed, while also adding more random flow patterns, or eliminating dead zones.

I have been using the Hygger version of the Gyres, and like the flow it's adding to the tank. I added a second one last night after having the first for a little under a year. I also have two mp10s on and SR80. I do feel like they lose a little of their "oomph" after a while, but I'm also super lazy and don't do a lot of maintenance on my pumps. 🙃
