Adding magnesium to reach optimum levels(checking my calcs) Is this already being discussed?

Double checking my math
Magnesium using Fluval sea (75000 Mg/l) concentrated liquid
65 gallons current level 1075 shooting for 1350 to 1400 ppm
Fluval Sea 5ml into 20 gallons raises 20 gal 5Mg/l
my understanding is 1 Mg/l = 1 ppm
so to raise my 65 gallons by 5 Mg/l / ppm I need to add approximately 17ml
all together 325 ppm divided by 5 equals 65 - 17 ml doses?
not to exceed 100 ppm per day is 340 ml per day

this seems a crazy high dosing level to bring into parameter? Let's not even discuss the cost... 237ml/8oz is $15.00

Is this correct? I have to be doing something wrong!
I'm in a FOG of confusion

Looks correct.

It does take a lot of mag to raise magnesium levels.

Before dosing anything I would double check the test result with another test kit or get you r LFS to test.
Your result is abnormal, and needs double checking.

If it is correct I would suggest buying Magnesium Chloride online and using the reef chemistry calculator to calculate the amount, which would be around 500 grams

Can we assume that you’ve used a calibrated salinity checker to make sure your mix is correct? Does your calcium and alkalinity line up with what it should be for full strength saltwater? Running low salinity will reduce all elements within.

I've checked salinity using using both manual and electronic checkers.

even bought new test kits...

I'll rerun my chemistry's and report back.

I'll go pay my lfs to run my results... I'll let y'all know
