I am toying with the idea of building a hood for my Ocean revive lights and putting 4ft T5's in the front and back. My question is will they do any good even on the very outer edge of the lights? My tank is a standard 75 so i think 18" wide. My LED's are pretty high above the water to prevent disco. How high can T5s be above the water?

I'm using a supplemental LED light bar with my Mars Aqua LEDs. It does a great job filling in shadow areas and lighting the back wall.
