Hey guys, I tested my tank today and the results were

Alk : 11.5
Cal : 440
Mag : 1440
NO3 : 10 ppm
PO4 : 0.25

I haven’t seen any noticeable growth from my corals, I keep all softies but added my first LPS yesterday, which is doing great so far. My zoas closed up after being opened since I got them which was over 8 months ago. Am I missing anything like traces? Thank you in advanced :)

You prob dont need traces if you do regular water changes. Like 10% a week with a good salt mix.
however;
Red sea makes an A+B trace. Just dont over do it thinking more is better.
Start with 1/4 the recommended dose. Dose 1 time per week and see if you see any changes.

Could Red Sea ABCD possibly benefit as well?

0.25 phosphate can slow down growth (that is pretty high but I am guessing g.you use an api test which for corals is useless as 0.1 to 0.03 ppm is the range you want.

They have an ABCD Trace but AB+ is just food.

I use salifert. The only reason I brought up ABCD is because I personally don’t think it’s the lack of nutrients in the water, more the traces. So if I use just AB+ won’t it just add more nitrates and phos? But maybe I’m wrong lol.

AB+ has amino acids and fatty acids and some vitamins
Thats all ya really need for softies if you dont think your salt mix is supplying enough

If the AB+ is eaten, it shouldn't really raise nitrate and phosphate.
