Adding water

Ok so this might seem like a stupid question but here it goes. When water evaporates out of my tank and I top it off I am saposto use just regular water right because when it evaporates the salt remans. I a. Looking for the ezeast way to top off with the least impact on fish and corals.

You are correct but make sure you use ro water to topoff.

Yes you are suppose to use RO/DI water...I keep a gallon jug of distilled water sitting by my tank. It's the easiest for me to do it that way....but I have a nano so I'm dealing with small volumes.

Most LFS that sell saltwater fish also sell ro or ro/di water.

RODI unit hands down. Easy to install and super handy. Also look in investing in an auto top off unit. I have a tunze osmolator and it's awesome. One of the best investments I've made for my tank hands down.

That is a steal...you may have to wait for it to arrive form ten-buck-to.

And you will have to plumb it to your water supply and drain. If you put a cheap ball valve in between it and your supply you can turn it on when you need to fill a jug.

Do you not have water stores there where you can fill your jugs ? It is very economical.

You can buy gallon jugs of ro water at the grocery store. We have water fill places everywhere here. Maybe you should move to Texas.

we have a place that fills water and i think they run it through filteres and you go there and they fill your jug for you would that work

Make sure it is ro water my friend. If you do not use ro or di water you will have problems with algae. If you are not sure surely you have grocery stores where you can buy water.
