Need to offset the loss of alkalinity to my sulfur reactor. I’ve been dosing more alkalinity than calcium, but could I not simply increase the amount of soda ash added to each gallon of water? Obviously it could not be so much that it doesn’t fully dissolve, but I’ve experiemented and I can almost double the amount added for, presumably, a 2x concentration. I cannot see any flaw to this, can anyone else? Since the doser goes into a very high flow area of the sump, I’m not worried about dilution.

I think most alkalinity solutions are just about at or very near full saturation.

When triton still used liquids they used hypersonic waves to increase how much would dissolve in their solution. Or something like that. Not a physicists so only half Comprehended when they were discussing it lol.
