Advice on reef mat hose run

Hi

Maybe no difference but I’d like to know before I glue the hose to the pipe work …

Picture below I’ve marked up with a red and green line..

The red one loops under the reef mat and curls back up to connect..

The green comes around the side and connect level.

Which is better if any?

I have my looped around, as I am going to upgrade my sump and need the longer hose and didn't want to buy another one.

The looped hose around the reefmat and it works great.

Sorry, no pics, I am not contorting to get a pic of it, my sump area is way to small for my old self.

Apologies got the colours wrong
The green uses the full length and comes round the back, then under and up…. The red is cut shorter and snug fit round the side…. Don’t think the green will have a flow issues with it curling up

Mine is in reefer 300. It comes in on the motor side then goes under and loops around to connect. Its been fine since I installed it over a year ago.
