I never tried it, but it did for some others that PMed me. They filtered it through a coffee filter after it mixed up overnight. ...something like 1 ml for each 10g of water, or so. There is nothing scientific here... just anecdotes from hobbyists.

The stuff from Kz can get expensive on a large tank.

EDIT: I need to clarify... I did dose my tank with wormwood mixture and it was totally safe. I have no AEFW, so no idea if it worked on them.

1/4 Cup in a 2 liter bottle of RO. Mix and shake for a few days. Filter through a coffee filter. Add 1 ml per 10 gallons of tank water every day.

everything still free of flatworms? I do not have any after using Purge but I am always trying to stay ahead of the curve if somehow I ever get them again.

Also how is the woodworm mixture going for people who tried it?

Has anyone tried wormwood for an extended time? @jda has me interested in possibly trying this method. I just blew $200 on a purge treatment that didnt work (found worms tonight). Looking for something else to try for in tank treatment. I have several large colonies and out out of tank treatments wont work. I would need two large kz flatworm stop bottles at $280 which would give me 200 days of treatment. Looking to see if wormwood would be a cheaper alternative.
thanks

I would start the flatworm stop just to get them healthy, then maybe experiment with the wormwood.
I liked the fws so much I might start it again even though I don’t have any worms.
My friends tank I dosed fws on is still worm free, treatment works great.

Bumping an old thread. Does the home brew result in the same thickening of SPS? I don't have AEFW but I love what it does. The price is a shocker though. Just like Coral Snow, I know the active ingredients are simple and cheap.
