I am looking for an auto feeder for my tank. My tank is on the main floor, with the sump and Apex in the basement across the house.

Does the AFS need to stay plugged in once programmed? Or can I program it, then take it upstairs to the tank? I cannot run an aquabus cable through the floor there.

Thanks

Looking at the user manual from Neptune it looks like you need to have it plugged in via an Aquabus cable at all times.

That's correct. No other connection is required though.
