Ageing snails

New here, in the hobby for 4 years salt, life time regular fresh. I have a 120 total gallon system with several tanks. Totally addictive. The question I have for you is: when you sense your clean up crew, astrea snails are reaching the end of thier cycle how do you approach the decision what to do? I have large snails that have stopped eating and sit around in corners and by rocks. Several have died recently but the younger are doing great. What do you do remove or let them feed your tank possibly fouling it also?
