Not quite as expected
And after putting too much thought into wanting to add a blue ring angelfish the one I thought would cause territorial issues would have been the emperor angelfish .

the only one causing issues is the tiny sailfin tang .

after a slow drip acclimation I turned the lights off and added him to the display .

what else could I do to curve aggression ?
Removing rocks and rearranging was a thought but a near impossible task

I would add a mirror and just keep an eye out 24-48 hours to make sure things don’t get out of hand. My tangs normally settle down 48-72 hours.

The mirror is actually a great idea.

I had a small telescopic inspection mirror

Look how fast and how dark the orange shoulder changes colour .

is it healthy for them to get so angry and attacking themselves ?

while on the other side of the tank . The blue ring is enjoying a feast off of the veggie clip .

I tried adding a simple YWG to my tank. Harmless bottom dweller and the reef inhabitants kicked him out of the neighborhood so back to the LFS. Sometimes no matter what you do the existing residents of the reef will not accept a new visitor in with open fins.
