Any suggestions for an aggressive Bottom feeder fish I can add into a tank full of aggressive and/or predatory fish?

I'm ending up with lots of uneaten food sitting on the bottom of my tank that I have to scoop out, as well as scraps from my eel shredding food. I try to feed smaller amounts at a time, but they only snap a few bites and let the rest drift down.

I'm planning on getting some nassarius snails, but as I learned recently, my flame hawkfish likes to snack on the snails I got to control diatoms, so I am hoping for a fish solution.

Have you checked out a Harlequin Bass? Best wishes!

I’ve heard of people using goatfish for tanks like this, but I can’t give any personal experience with them. Maybe someone else has had one before.

I just looked those up. If I can find one, I think that would be perfect. Perhaps a little large for my tank at the moment, but I plan on upgrading in a year or so. Might compete with my dwarf lionfish for space though.
