My royal gramma beat up my newly added watchman goby.

Goby looks like he was bitten and seems to have bruises and lost top fin.

I removed the royal gramma from the tank but is there anything I can do to help the goby now? I really want the guy to recover.

I would isolate the goby into a QT, which is really a hospital tank now.

Watch for signs of infection.

Otherwise, keep the goby healthy and let it regrow itself. If the mismatch is that gross, those two fish may never survive in that tank together.

I took the gramma out today and goby is the only fish now.

If the goby requires treatment, it is going to be difficult in your DT.

But if not, having the goby as the incumbent could help.

I have to use a mirror tapped to the tank when I introduce new fish to the tank with the Royal Gramma. After about 3 days the aggression subsides. If the aggression persist I tape the mirror back up.
