Way too many lol I picked up a frag of the battle corals love sky recently and will start a progress picture of this one. My favorite blue will always be the heart of the ocean due to the deep coloration.

This is a comparison next to an Oregon tort.

Peng’s HOTO is my favorite as well. Great to see others growing this out as well

If you like lighter blue, the BC Skinny Love is a nice one to have

It’s a beautiful one for sure and that colony is amazing ! I do have one but it’s been a frag for a good year plus with zero growth. I need to try a new piece.

Where does one find a frag of heart of the ocean?

I got mine from Lazys corals house out of Dayton Ohio. He sells online and listed some up a few weeks ago. It’s a slow grower so no clue when he would have more. Worth reaching out at least.

What is your method for reefing?
Keep it simple and let it be! Some examples:

-Stopped using socks or filter roller. Went with Liverock and a skimmer to do the work.

-Stopped playing with LEDs lights. Skipped the ramp up or down. Gave the corals full spectrum.

-Don’t make changes just because you heard it worked for someone else. I used to be bad about hearing one person say that this or that was the secrete to their success and then it ended up being my failure more often than not.

- Don’t let one or two coral deaths make you change your entire tank. If I lose a coral here and there it’s nothing to worry about as I have 150+ acros growing that look perfectly normal.

…. Keep in mind dont make changes just because something works for me! You may do the exact opposite and have great success. Key to this hobby is patience and finding out what works best for your system.

2 years ago I was a failure with a display tank full of flatworms! I live and learn from my mistakes.

I found it grows better in the lower half of my tank, so may be worth a try.
Will do! I’m in the process of remounting some of my corals to 1.5” round tiles instead of 3” square so I’ll move him off to the side a little
