This is one that has been pale for me since I got it.

Slow grow too. Almost none
Yeah mine took awhile to take off. Now it’s growing pretty quick.

Swap to the 6500k iwaskis or sick to 14k bulbs?

I’ll get one tomorrow. They already kicked off for the night. It really isn’t too bad since I have some
Blue LEDS with it. More of a white look to me. Gives me a true accurate color for pictures at least

Tbf, my Oregon tort looks very deep blue/purple in natural sunlight and even ambient daylight, but under artificial T5 lights it looks like your typical blue Oregon tort

Nice frag, what i hate about Oregon tort is it's a slow grower, really slow

Anyone know how I can get more polyp extension? I feel like this one is a little retracted. ;)

Try more flow. And light. And other things that I say work but don't have results myself.

Nice little vent session haha

The NORE swap right outside Cleveland Ohio today was a good success. Pictures to come sometime next week but got a few nice scores:

JF Homewrecker
Oregon Blue Tort (since my old tort is teal ;))
Tyree Ultimate Stag
BK Chem Fruit Loops
Pengs Blue Monster
UC Shortcake
WT Mother of Pearl
AV99 Blue Monster
AV99 Mellow Yellow Humilis
Big E Navy Tort
ORA purple plasma
Pengs Rosy tip granulosa

Also stopped by Aquatic Technology and picked up five Bali sun hamilton fixtures for a future upcoming build.

Cool excited to see. I don't have room In my display ATM. Letting things grow out. Then I'm going to chop up the fast growers and reset ;)

Corals are settling in and doing great! My trend of buying blue corals grows once again. Excited to use these Hamilton fixtures over a future display.

Don't you already have reefbrites? Are Hamilton better option?

Yeah I’ve got 4 Reefbrite fixtures. Those will stay on a grow out system. These will be for a future display. Hard to pass up on some new old stock at 1/3 price of the Reefbrite fixtures. I did order an electric ballast from Amazon and it fires up right up with the Hamiltons with a 250 or 400 watt bulb.

Are there more available? Do you know the name of this fixture? I have 2 but want 2 more for future build? (Its a octagon)

I picked up all they had left of the Hamiltons. Looks like the lumen bright reflectors. Those are almost impossible to find anymore.

Yup that's it, thanks!
