These should hold a few more frags….

Before seeing this picture, I was going to ask, where do you store all this frags? But seeing this picture where do you have space to store all tanks? Wear house?

My current tank is in the garage. These will be in a basement coral man cave.

That’s a huge bummer. Things improving now ?
Yes, it’s stabilizing. But there isn’t a lot left. The bulletproof anemones are all fine. But all the lps, all the sps except for a few of the acros are gone. It’s a bummer for sure

just got one of these looking forward to growing this out.

Your system is amazing. I didn't read through all the thread, but how do you control temp in your garage as my new 4x6 growout is in mine?

I have a mini split that I put in. I try to heat or cool the garage to 78. The tank has 500 watts in heaters but they hardly run. The tank has a fan that turns on if the temperature gets too high. The new basement room will be controlled with a mini split that’s separate from the central hvac. Just easier to heat or cool the room when dealing with so much volume.

That stinks. I’ll help replace some stuff for you. I can always send you a free box of sticks once you’re ready.

That’s the route I was debating going with the mini split. I’d love to use our basement but it’s finished and used as bedrooms unfortunately.

Do you have a stopping point to how much you will keep adding?

I have no limits but my wife would disagree with that statement.
My limit is 48x24 frag tank in my house and I feel like I can't get more then 50 frags/colonies in there. I wish florida had basements...

I really appreciate that! It will probably be a while before I’m comfortable that system is stable and ready for new coral. In the meantime I’m trying to get my other tank sorted out that has its own problems, lol and is crowded with some of the stuff I was able to move that didn’t look like it was already dying. I lost some nice acros but the worst was a bunch of really nice chalices.

On to positive things
I’m really enjoying your pics/thread and I have some new fish coming next week for the other tank, though I Didn’t actually loose any fish, did a lot of water changes once I saw what was happening and apparently it was enough to save the fish, but apparently the damage was done for most of the coral

My wife has accepted that I basically took over the garage sooooo if the first frag goes well, there may be more.

What’s your favorite fish you keep in the grow outs?

thanks! Hopefully you can get a lot of the chalices back as well. Still planning on going to the Ohio swaps this year ?

Tangs. Worker fish for me are the best!

Probably, I will probably be able to make enough frags to have a few sales and trades. And I already paid for some of the swaps. We’ll see I haven’t really taken stock yet, of what is fraggable.

You’re always welcomed to stop by my table and I’ll send you home with a good freebie pack to get you started again. Looking forward to the dayton, columbus, and Cleveland swaps!

@Joe462 if you need your pink orchid back I’ll save the first frag for you from the one I have.

This one has me upset, colony was getting big, I could have cut 5 or 6 nice sized frags and barely noticed. And they always sell well. I have a couple small frags that were in the other tank so I should be good, but won’t have any frags to sell for a while.

Not sure what this one is. Got it from cherry corals at one point.
