I’m looking to upgrade lights. I would like to stick with AI. I’m looking at the hydra 64 HD Vs the hydra edge 68 HD. 64 HD seem to be more expensive, it about 60 dollar difference. But I’m kinda torn between the two. I’m looking for the most power but more importantly reliability. I don’t wanna have to replace these lights in 4 years. I know the edge is new but I’m afraid they have not been out long enough to know if they are worth the price. What do you all think?

What is the size of the tank you'll be using the lights on?

Depth is 20 inch and 35inch wide. I mean if the smaller ones would be enough that’s even better for me. I would like to at least give my acros at the top 300 par and about 100 to 150 at the bottom. I currently have the AI 16HD. But they are like 4 inch about the water to give me enough par haha

So your saying two of those is way to much for that size of a tank?
Personally, I think that two Edge 44 HD will be sufficient. I mean, having two Hydra 64 HD would be too much since I have enough lightning in my 70 gal tank with two AI Hydra 32 HD for Acros (given that you mount at a proper height). Do you have a friend with Ai Hydra Edges?

The Blades are the best lights from AI. 2 Grow and 1 Glow. Super sleek and easy to mount. No fans. No melting lenses. No disco ball effect
