AI Prime 16 HD - Fluval 13.5

Hi,

I purchased an AI prime for my Fluval 13.5 aquarium a few months back and I’m struggling with tweaking it to the right settings.

My current big issue is algae, it’s a nightmare .

If you’ve managed to find a happy medium, what is your setup? I’m intrigued!

How deep is the tank? I use AI Prime on a 15 gallon, 12" deep tank, I have it set at 85% for 12 hours per day, with one hour ramp up and down (so lights are at peak for 10 hours).

So my tank is just a shade smaller than yours.

I have mine set on for five hours with a ramp up time of 1:30.

I tried using the pre downloadable schedules but found them not to be too helpful for my sized tank.

This was the schedule I ran on my two AI primes on my 30 gallon long it's only 13 in deep. It works for me to grow corals. It was a little on the weak side and a little blue, but it worked and look nice. You can tweak it as you want with the whites in the reds.

rectangular boxes represent 20% increments.

Once you're satisfied with your schedule, use two fingers on the screen to drag up or down to change overall intensity. Your percentages of individual spectral components stay the same, only the intensity changes.

Your percentage of total watts used is represented by the circle on the upper right. In my case, I was using about 70% of the 55 watts available output.

Oh wow I never knew that! So in only at 40%?
